Year 1 ‘Whops a Daisy!’ Nativity

Year 1 ‘Whops a Daisy!’ Nativity

Students from Year 1 invited parents and carers in to watch their version of the Christmas Nativity, ‘Whoops a Daisy!’

The play told the story of Christmas and featured a clumsy angel, ‘Whoops a Daisy’, who was never given any jobs or responsibilities, until she was finally given the important role of flying to Bethlehem to tell the shepherds and three wise men the news of a King being born.

All the students behaved impeccably during the play, remembered all of their lines and sang beautifully. Principal Miss Emma Goodwin said ‘The nativity was absolutly amazing, I think the Year 1 children have done us proud, they have learnt all the songs and captured the audience. The smiles on everybody’s faces shows how much they enjoyed it. They have done a fantastic job.’

One parent said ‘It was brilliant. My son was practising all the time at home learning all the words to the songs. He loved it though and I think that you could tell that all of the children enjoyed performing to the families.’

A selection of photos from the Nativity can be found here.
