Reception Christmas sing-along 2017

Reception Christmas sing-along 2017

Parents and carers were invited to join Reception in their annual Christmas sing-along where students dressed as Reindeers, Santa’s and Snowmen and sang and danced to traditional Christmas songs.

Reception teacher Ms Murdock told the story of Christmas and students acted out and sang along to familiar songs such as ‘Jingle Bells’, ‘Do you wanna build a Snowman?’, ‘When Santa got stuck up a chimney’ and finishing with the grand finale of  “I wish it could be Christmas everyday.’

The students and teachers worked really hard learning the words and actions to the songs and succeeded in putting together a fabulous show that entertained the whole audience and included all of the class.

Principal Miss Goodwin said ‘The Reception sing-along has started our Christmas festivities and it has been fantastic. All of the children worked so hard learning the words and actions to the songs and it was lovely to see so many parents clapping along to the songs with smiles on their faces. The afternoon really helped get everyone in the Christmas mood and I’m really proud of all the children for taking part.’

One parent said ‘I think the sing-along was amazing. My son has been practising the words to the songs at home. He doesn’t usually like performing so I was quite surprised to see him today dancing and really getting into character. They all did so well and I am feeling very Christmassy now.’
