Oakley Vale enjoys an afternoon with The NED Show

Students at Oakley Vale were visited by ‘The Ned Show’ an innovative, character education assembly that motivates and encourages students to become Champions at school and in life.

NED is a cartoon character that is an acronym for: Never Give Up, Encourage Others, Do Your Best and the assembly taught the students these messages through story telling, yo-yo tricks, magic and encouraging the students to join in. One student even won a balloon crown for her fantastic answers.

The NED Show used yo-yo tricks during the assembly to deliver a story and message that was entertaining and unforgettable to the students. The yo-yos will be available to buy which not only allows the students to get a classic yo-yo with the NED Message on it and a list of tricks to learn but also helps send The NED Show assembly to another school.

Mrs McDonald said ‘The show was fantastic and we loved the message. The playground is buzzing with NED quotes. It was brilliant to see the students laughing and joining in and I’m sure they will all want to buy the yo-yo’s to learn all the tricks that they were shown.’

One student in Reception said ‘That show was totally awesome!’
