Students come fourth in County Championships of Boccia

Students come fourth in County Championships of Boccia

A group of students from Years 3, 4 and 5 took part in the County Championships of Boccia at Kettering Sports Arena and succeeded in coming fourth place.

Boccia is similar to boules, players have to roll, throw or kick balls to land close to a target ball. Each side has six balls each end to try and score points. Points are accumulated over the course of a match to find a winner.

The team played four games winning two and loosing two which took them through to the semi finals, where they finished in fourth place.

Teaching Assistant Miss Meeks said, ‘The team played with great determination and team spirit. They did fantastically well to get fourth place and I was extremely proud of the way they played and their behaviour throughout the day.’
