Reception visited by local Police and Fire Brigade

This term Reception have been learning about people who help us and we have had many visitors from friends, family the Fire Brigade and the local Police.

Grandparents came in for a whole afternoon and teach students about the role that they play in our lives. The local Fire Brigade brought their fire engine and let the students spray water from the hoses and the Police gave a safety talk about the importance of stranger danger and let students sit inside a real police car!

Principal Miss Goodwin said ‘The children’s safety is of the utmost importance to us as a school and it’s been interesting and fun for them to learn about the different ways people in our local community help us.’
