Reception superhero stay and play afternoon

Reception superhero stay and play afternoon

Students in Reception invited parents into the classroom for the afternoon to join in with their learning.

The theme of the afternoon was superheros and the class dressed up as their favourite characters. Reception teacher Ms Tew said ‘It was lovely to see so many parents come and take part in the stay and play session. It was a fantastic afternoon with so many smiling and happy children sharing with their parents.’

The parents joined in with all aspects of learning including, making superhero masks and pants, building a tower for maths and completing an obstacle course.

Reception parent Mrs Wookey said, ‘I enjoyed being able to come into the classroom to see what the children had been doing over the last term and meeting some of the other parents. It was fun getting involved in the crafts. My son was really enthusiastic and loved being able to show me what he had been learning.’
