Year 6 student Amalie Lines was one of the successful girls to be picked to dance in local pantomime Beauty and the Beast at the Lighthouse Theatre, Kettering.

Amalie who is a member of the Top Hat Theatre school in Northampton and has been dancing since she was four years old said ‘In September I auditioned amongst more than 50 other girls with only 16 of us getting chosen to dance in the show. We perform in two groups and alternate each night. I have really enjoyed this experience. The cast are all very friendly and we all have so much fun and laugh a lot. I love dancing so being in the show means I get to dance all the time and when I’m not dancing in the show, I’m at home practising my dancing.’

Beauty and the Beast is a traditional fun-filled family pantomime featuring Eastenders actress Cheryl Fergison as Malevolent, and tells the story of Beauty and her Beast with hilarious songs and dances from the pantomime Dame and her son Potty Pierre. The show runs at The Lighthouse Theatre in Kettering until January 3rd 2017.
