Reception space assembly

Reception space assembly

Reception invited parents and carers into assembly to showcase the work they have learnt this term on their new topic ‘Space’.

Students wore alien hats that they made during lessons, sang songs with actions about zooming to the moon and the solar system, showed pieces of artwork and gave interesting facts about space including; Neil Armstrong was the first man on the moon and the moon reflects the sunlight.

The term has been full of enjoyment learning about rockets, astronauts, the solar system and aliens, as well as listening to stories linked to space and to be able to present this to the parents was a perfect ending to the term.

Principal Miss Emma Goodwin said ‘It’s amazing how much the students have enjoyed learning about space and it was lovely to see such a large amount of parents and family coming to support the children.’
