Year 2 sing-along Easter assembly

Year 2 sing-along Easter assembly

Parents and carers were invited to join Year 2 in their annual Easter sing-along where students spoke about Easter and sang and danced to Easter songs.

The students told the history of Easter including why we eat chocolate in the shape of eggs and why we have the Easter bunny as well as explaining what happened to Jesus in the traditional Easter story.

They danced and sang to songs like ‘Cheeky Charlie Cheeping’, ‘Three Days that Changed the World’ and everyone’s favourite song ‘The Chocoholics Song’ about mums and grandpas that sneak around the house stealing their children’s chocolate!

Year 2 teacher Mrs Clarke said ‘We are extremely proud of all of the hard work that the students have put into their performance today. They have all worked really hard and remembered all of their words and it was lovely to have so many parents join us to watch their children.’
