Spanning a huge range of children’s fiction authors and tackling a number of issues concerned with inclusion and acceptance, the donation intends to promote diversity and raise awareness of bullying from an early age.

Anti-Bullying Week is an annual national event, taking place during the third week of November. The initiative tackles issues relating to bullying, by highlighting incidents and encouraging pupils to help prevent these issues both in and outside of school.

Principal Emma Goodwin said: 'This is a much appreciated donation of books from Barratt Homes. We have many initiatives throughout the year on inclusion and anti-bullying themes and these books will underpin and extend the work that we already carry out in school on a regular basis. We are extremely grateful to Barratt Homes for its generosity and ongoing support to our school community.'
