In year 2 the children were very engaged with roald Dahl day and are loving their new class readers (James and the giant peach, swifts and George's marvellous medicine, owls).
The children have enjoyed their drawing topic in art and made some excellent versions of the weeping woman by Picasso.
EYFS have settled into Oakley Vale incredibly well and made a fantastic start to school life. In Phonics, they have learnt the first 12 sounds and are beginning to read words containing those sounds and form the letters correctly. In the curriculum, they have enjoyed sharing their special boxes, learning about parts of the body and the 5 senses! Our class reader this half-term is The Little Red Hen.
