Music Intent

Music education enhances and develops confidence, communication skills, instils the discipline to persevere, and embeds performance skills that are transferable to all areas of life.

At Oakley Vale Primary our intention is that all children develop an understanding of music through listening, appraising, discussing and performing.

From Autumn Term 2023, Oakley Vale will be accessing the Music Curriculum through Sing Up - a primary school music curriculum supporting delivery of high quality classroom music including singing and playing, composing and improvising, listening and appraising.
