Primary School AdmissionsChoosing the right school for your child is an important decision, and we are delighted that you are considering Oakley Vale Primary School. We welcome applications from all families and aim to make the admissions process as straightforward as possible.

 

All applications for a place at our school are managed by North Northamptonshire Council (NNC) in line with their coordinated admissions scheme. Below you’ll find key information about how to apply, important dates, and what to expect once school places are allocated.

If you would like your child to attend Oakley Vale, applications must be made through the Local Authority (North Northamptonshire Council). The application window opens on 10 September 2025 and closes on 15 January 2026.

How to Apply

Applications for a place at Oakley Vale Primary School are made through the North Northamptonshire Council (NNC) Parent Portal, which you can access using the link below:

If your child has been offered a place at Oakley Vale Primary School, we look forward to welcoming them to our community. You do not need to confirm acceptance unless requested by the Local Authority, but we encourage you to contact us if you have any questions about starting school with us.

If you do not wish to accept the offered place, please notify North Northamptonshire Council (NNC) as soon as possible so that the place can be offered to another child.

If your child was not allocated a place at Oakley Vale but you would like them to attend, you can request for their name to be added to our waiting list. This list is managed by North Northamptonshire Council and prioritised in accordance with the school’s admissions criteria, rather than the date of application.

If your child was not offered a place at Oakley Vale Primary School and you wish to appeal, this can be done through North Northamptonshire Council’s online appeal form.

  • Primary school appeals: must be submitted no later than 5pm on 20 May 2025
  • Late appeals: no set deadline

Once your appeal has been received, the Appeals Team will arrange a hearing. Please note that all appeals are currently conducted online.
