Sports Premium

Each year, the government allocates additional funding to enhance the quality of Physical Education (PE) and sport in primary schools. This investment is aimed at ensuring all children have access to high-quality physical education experiences and opportunities.

How We Use Our PE and Sport Premium Funding

Each year, we receive additional government funding dedicated to enhancing Physical Education (PE) and sport across our school. This vital support enables us to create a more inclusive, engaging, and high-quality PE experience for all our pupils. Here’s how we make the most of this funding:

Expanding After-School Sports Clubs

We continue to broaden the range of after-school sports clubs available to our pupils. From traditional team sports to alternative physical activities, these clubs encourage children to stay active, discover new interests, and develop lifelong healthy habits.

Investing in High-Quality Equipment

We regularly update and expand our PE and sports equipment to support effective teaching and learning. This ensures that all pupils have access to the resources they need to participate fully in team sports and physical education lessons.

Supporting Access to Swimming and Competitions

A portion of the funding helps cover transport costs, allowing pupils to attend regular swimming sessions and participate in inter-school sports competitions and training events. These experiences build confidence, teamwork, and a sense of achievement.

Enhancing Opportunities for Pupils with Physical Needs

We are committed to inclusivity. The funding allows us to provide tailored PE opportunities and resources for children with physical needs, ensuring that every child can enjoy and benefit from physical activity in a way that suits them best.
